Today I decided to give up soda altogether because fuck it, every time I drink a Coke I just end up wishing I drank iced tea instead. Then later I was working out and I started thinking about buying a set of dumbbells, because I feel like pushups just don’t cut it anymore (getting older, metabolism slowing down, etc.)
Then I thought Oh fuck am I becoming one of those annoying health people...

Last year, France was trying to sell Libya fourteen Dassault Mirage III fighter jets. Last year, Britain was assisting the Libyan government in having Abdelbaset al-Megrahi released from prison in Scotland where he was incarcerated following the Lockerbie plane bombing. Since 2004, the EU has sold more than 1.5 billion US dollars in arms to Libya.
This year, the UN won’t back regime change,...

Your boyfriend lied. Spanx are not sexy. Let’s do the math.
You had a need a to justify your use of Spanx, which do far more for your damaged self-esteem than they do for your figure,
and he had a need b to sleep with someone that night, and this led to
action c.
In conclusion, a + b = c, where c is “a repulsive repudiation of the truth.”

Not to rain on anybody’s fucking parade or anything, but is the idea basically that it’s okay to cruise missile the ever-living shit out of foreign countries just as long as everybody else wants to, too? Not that I’m on board with Qaddafi. Frankly, I do not care for the dude. I am a little concerned that, like Egypt, nobody seems to be wondering who’s goin’ to fill...

I’m going to go ahead and blame the fact that I haven’t done any good writing lately on the fact that every time I get on the internet, before I get any work done I see a statement like, “rape is a collective action,” and I am totally baffled.
God admits those who endure.

The answer is “Double Stuf Oreos and Evan Williams,” and the question is “What was the feast of Saint Patrick’s day?”

In a text message moments ago, I was writing “you’re” and, not looking, left out the apostrophe and letter “e.” Yes, that’s correct, for the first time in my life, I used “your” instead of “you’re” and feel like a complete fucking tool.
Seppuku to commence first thing tomorrow morning.

Mumford & Sons, the official soundtrack to earnest, flannel-wearing young men who write reams of Moleskine™ poetry about the sorrow of unrequited true love yet have not actually asked out the girl in question. To paraphrase a great line: “Losers always whine about fucking it up this time, my dear—winners go home and fuck the prom queen.”

An Entirely Ordinary Interlude Featuring Robert...
Had a dream about Robert Downey, Jr. last night, which is immediately suspect, because I rarely remember my dreams and when I do they never involve celebrities. This was fairly aboveboard, considering that the venue was a dream: in it, Robert Downey, Jr. was a guest professor teaching a high-level seminar in drama at a West Coast university, I believe in southern California, and he was worried...

Remember, they’re white heterosexual males. You can immediately and safely assume that they have contributed to—no, outright created—a culture of patriarchal, misogynistic, racist and pick-your-phobic oppression. Remember that. Remember that hate does not breed more hate, nor does it breed hurt. Remember that dialogue leads to further violence, but with outright rejection comes acceptance,...
